Dr. Ákos Bihary LL.M.
Dr. Ákos Bihary LL.M. is the head of the practice group working with environmental, corporate and various civil matters at Ecovis Hungary Legal. In addition to the main areas of expertise, the group also deals with legal issues and handles out-of-court or in court legal disputes arising from the field of employment law and waste management.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Studies of Miskolc University in Hungary in 1994. Later on, he specialised as a legal expert in environmental law at the Institute of Postgraduate Legal Studies of ELTE, Budapest in 2006.
He started his legal career in Debrecen, which was followed by working for the law office of dr. György Ruttner. Later on, he spent nine years working for the NKKB Law Office before he finally joined, leaving his own legal practice, the Hungarian team of law experts of Ecovis in 2008. He is the deputy managing partner of Ecovis since the July of 2021
His fields of expertise include environmental law, waste management, corporate and business law, contract law, liquidation, representation in court cases, as well as legal tasks related to non-governmental and non-profit organisations. He acquired extensive experience in the comprehensive management and representation of economic entities and their various proceedings (transformation, acquisition, amendment, winding-up, and due diligence of companies) and in the compilation of legal analyses. He has an excellent track record in representation at various authorities and in court in cases related to environmental protection, more specifically to waste management. His experience also includes the complete representation of creditors and debtors in liquidation proceedings. He also provides extensive legal consultancy for economic entities (drafting and evaluation of contracts, representation in court, labour law consulting) and the representation of non-governmental and non-profit organisations.
He has a keen interest in sports which he is actively supporting with his legal experience as the member of the Committee of Appeals under the Board of the Hungarian Basketball Players Federation.
He is active in Hungarian and English.
