Amadeus - Vontobel Art Award 2016

This year’s AMADEUS-Vontobel Art Award was presented on 8th December during a ceremony held in the exhibition room of AMATÁR filled with guests invited by the Swiss Bank Vontobel AG and ECOVIS HUNGARY.

According to the decision of the Curatorial Board András Kontur, a young sculptor has been the winner of the Bank Vontobel’s prize of CHF 5,000. The competition was launched by AMADEUS Art Foundation in the theme of ideas on water and garden. The prize, which was a symbolic golden bar made of Swiss chocolate, was presented by Ladislav Dianiska, the head of the CEE region of the bank.

The artist is using limestone for his outdoor artwork which is expected to be ready by the spring of 2017. His sculpture represents the constant circulation of water and will be placed in ‘AMAKERT’ which is a lovely garden next to the studio of the Foundation.
