Dr. Balázs Pál

Dr. Balázs Pál graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University cum laude in 2006. After his graduation he worked as a legal associate in Weil am Rhein, Germany, and later in Cologne, Germany, for two German law firms. He passed bar exam in 2010 with excellent marks and has been an attorney since 2011. He joined the Hungarian legal team of Ecovis in 2025.

He mainly provides legal services in the areas of civil law, commercial law and administrative law to his Hungarian and foreign clients, not only in the private, but also in the public sector. He specialises in pharmaceutical law, covering all areas from manufacturing to wholesale and retail activities.

He has a strong knowledge of national and EU legislation on the promotion of medicines. He assisted in numerous precedent-setting court judgments in pharmaceutical litigation in Hungary and the EU. Some of them have case law significance, given that they have been published in the Collection of Court Decisions. He has successfully represented clients in preliminary ruling proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union in several pharmaceutical cases.

His work focuses on the fields of business and corporate law, labour law, data protection law, intellectual property law and environmental law, especially waste management.

He is currently a student of health law at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University. He is expected to obtain his Master's degree (LLM) at the end of this year, after passing the remaining exams.

Besides Hungarian, he provides his services for clients in German, too.
