Dr. Márton Farkas
Dr. Márton Farkas is attorney-at-law and partner at ECOVIS Hungary Legal - Pál, Szabó, Gilly, Hortobágyi and Partners Law Firm. His main areas of expertise include employment law, business law and litigation.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences (ELTE) in 2015. He joined the ECOVIS Hungary legal team in 2016 as a trainee lawyer and has been practicing as an attorney since 2020.
As employment law being his main specialization, he is currently expanding his professional knowledge as a student of ELTE Institute for Postgraduate Legal Studies’ employment law course.
In employment law matters he focuses primarily on providing comprehensive support to employers. Through tailored advice, he regularly assists employers in ensuring employment law compliance—from recruitment through termination—with the aim of minimizing the risk of employment law disputes.
Applying his extensive experience, he assists in the implementation and review of employer policies, with a particular focus on incorporating requirements from different legal fields, such as privacy law, civil law, and social security law.
His diverse litigation practice includes legal disputes of businesses, as well as debt collection procedures. He frequently draws on his experience in commercial litigation when drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.
His legal expertise also cover e-commerce and consumer protection matters, he regularly advises businesses in these sectors on how to start up and solve problems they face in their day-to-day operations.
He has many years of experience in privacy law, he assisted in numerous data protection due diligence and compliance projects, he also provides continuous advice on the application of GDPR at corporate level.
In addition to his primary areas of expertise, he regularly handles matters related to the formation and operation of business entities and nonprofit organizations, as well as the sale and utilization of real estate.
His professional activities are carried out in Hungarian and English.
He regularly shares his practical experience in his areas of expertise and his informative legal opinions in blog articles on Jogadó Blog. He also had publications on Wolters Kluwer Jogászvilág.
