Dr. Márton Farkas

Dr. Márton Farkas is a partner attorney-at-law at ECOVIS Hungary Legal - Szigeti-Szabó and Partners Law Firm. His main areas of expertise include e-commerce law, marketing law, privacy law and litigation. 

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences (ELTE) in 2015. He joined the ECOVIS Hungary legal team in 2016 as a trainee lawyer and has been practicing as an attorney since 2020.

His legal specialties include e-commerce and consumer protection, as he regularly advises businesses in this sector on how to start up and solve problems they face in their day-to-day operations. He has a strong knowledge of marketing law and frequently advises clients on the compliance of their marketing campaigns and their other advertising activities.

He has many years of experience in data protection law, and in addition to assisting in numerous data protection due diligence and compliance exercises, he also provides ongoing advice on the application of the GDPR at the corporate level.

His day-to-day work includes the efficient and prompt handling of a wide range of civil law issues for his clients, in particular drafting agreements on property, employment and business law, dispute resolution and representation of clients in litigation or before public authorities.

His areas of interest include intellectual property law, in particular copyright and trademark law.

His professional activities are carried out in Hungarian and English.

He regularly shares his practical experience in his areas of expertise and his informative legal opinions in blog articles on Jogadó Blog. He also had publications on Wolters Kluwer Jogászvilág.
