In what cases do you need a permit from the designer to convert or extend loft area?

Loft conversion is a popular and one of the most economic forms to increase the comfort level of residential buildings or to increase rental income.

Are you aware in what cases you need to have permission from the designer of the building? And when do you have to pay extra royalty? And what if property rights collude with copyrights?

According to the provisions of the act on copyrights we have summarized the relevant information in details in our blog entry.

One of the reliefs brought by the construction laws entered into force on the 15th March, 2019 is that loft conversion is exclusive of the floor space specified by the local building code and of the maximum number of apartments. Therefore, it is even more recommended to consider this way as an option to create extra space.
