Gabriella Joó

Gabriella Joó completed her academic studies at the University of Economy of Budapest at the faculty of foreign trade and then earned her tax advisor and tax expert qualifications in 2001 and 2008. She has experience of more than 25 years at the “Big Four” firms in the fields of personal income tax and social security.

She began her career at the tax division of PricewaterhouseCoopers Kft. Seven years later she joined the Human Capital team of the tax division at Ernst and Young where her primary tasks were advisory for Hungarian and foreign private individuals in matters related to personal income tax and social security, taxation issues in connection with international employment, tax calculations, preparation of tax returns, management of advisory projects and representation of clients in tax inspections.

From 2004 she worked at the tax division of Deloitte Zrt. as a manager and then from 2006 she continued to work at the tax division of KPMG Tanácsadó Kft. as senior manager of the “Global Mobility” group.

Her major areas of expertise are personal income tax advisory to private individuals and to companies, consultancy in connection with Hungarian and EU social security obligations, matters in international secondment and remuneration structures, giving tax opinion to stock programs of international corporations and to create the most cost-effective structures.

She has gained considerable experience in taxation relating to the employment of foreign individuals in Hungary as well as in cross-border personal income tax and social security issues.

She works in Hungarian and English. She also makes use of her French language skills for her work.
