Dr. Sándor Hortobágyi is the co-head of the practice group dealing with public procurement, corporate and real estate matters at Ecovis Hungary Legal. In addition to the main areas of expertise, the group also covers e-commerce law, data protection law and employment law cases.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University in 2005. He joined the Hungarian legal team of Ecovis as a lawyer apprentice back in 2007.

He commenced his legal career in the field of public procurement law, which was followed by experiences in various private law cases, due to his keen interest in civil law in general.

His areas of legal expertise include public procurement law and within civil law, especially claims management, property law and contract law.

His expertise in public procurement law is based on his contribution in both contracting party and tenderer sides, as well as the following-up of public procurement practise. His activities include not only the comprehensive administration of public procurement procedures, but also the provision of legal advice in specific public procurement issues.

His other core field of activity is claims management, where he has extensive experience in the entire process of claims enforcement. In the course of his engagements he has accumulated comprehensive and detailed knowledge in the fields of software development, organisation, data analysis and process planning.

As far as property law is concerned, he is determined in arranging client-friendly solutions of property cases in line with the interests of all contracting parties concerning sale and purchase or gifti contracts, condominium property cases, attic transformation cases, contracts for use or other legal transactions. He also represents condominiums and handles comprehensively the various cases concerning condominiums.

He can liaise and discuss his cases with his clients in both English and German.

He regularly shares his practical experience in his areas of expertise and his informative legal opinions in blog articles on Jogadó Blog, Közbesz Blog and on Wolters Kluwer Jogászvilág.
