Dr. Sándor Hortobágyi

Dr. Sándor Hortobágyi is the managing partner and attorney-at-law at ECOVIS Hungary Legal – Szigeti-Szabó and Partners Law Firm. His main areas of expertise include property law, claims management, law of contracts and public procurement law. He has extensive experience in civil litigation at courts.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University in 2005. He joined the ECOVIS Hungary legal team in 2007 as a trainee lawyer.

In the field of public procurement, he is involved on both the contracting authority and the bidding side. In addition to the overall management of public procurement procedures, he also advises on specific procurement issues. He also represents beneficiary organisations in procedures concerning irregularities of subsidies.

His other core field of activity is claims management, where he has extensive experience in the entire process of claims enforcement. In the course of his engagements he has accumulated comprehensive and detailed knowledge in the fields of software development, organisation, data analysis and process planning.

As far as property law is concerned, he is determined in arranging client-friendly solutions of property cases in line with the interests of all contracting parties concerning sale and purchase contracts, condominium property cases, attic transformation cases, contracts for use, complex real estate investments or other legal issues arising from property operations.

He can liaise and discuss his cases with his clients in both English and German.

He regularly shares his practical experience in his areas of expertise and his informative legal opinions in blog articles on Jogadó Blog. He also had publications on Wolters Kluwer Jogászvilág.
