Public Procurement Conferences Continue
Conferences on the multi-stage amendment to the Act on Public Procurement continued from mid-January, 2019 with the participation of our experts. Ecovis Hungary Legal partner attorney Dr Andrea Szabó, accredited public procurement consultant and Dr Gabriella Nagy-Fribiczer, lawyer specialized in public procurement and EU law will also include in their presentations the current case law of the Public Procurement Arbitration Board and the courts.
The latest amendments to the Act on Public Procurement were published in November 2018; parallel with the multi-stage entry into force of the Act the training and preparation of the professionals working in this area (either as contracting authorities or tenderers) is continuous. Several educational organizations added this topic to their programs; subsequently our experts lectured at the conference of Diamond Top Consult on 16/01/2019 and then they held a consultation session on 18/01/2019 at the public procurement event organized by Vezinfó.
In addition to the main topic, the lectures place particular emphasis to present the latest news and recent decisions in order to ensure that the participants can keep up with the constantly evolving case law. The purpose of the conferences is to highlight the most important practical elements, with particular attention to avoiding irregularities and fines. Following the events there is also a chance to discuss the issues raised by the participants or to consult on an individual basis.
The conferences in January had an open atmosphere and participants tended to like the practice orientated topics and the almost unlimited possibility to ask questions. The next event for March is already being organized and also a training day is being planned including a program expressively compiled in the interest of the tenderers – for which there is a large demand.
We thank our long-term professional partners, Diamond Top Consult and Vezinfó for the calls for lectures and we are pleased to take part in the active cooperation.
