Public Procurement Law blog and electronic public procurement

December 13, 2017 | Vocational

A significant change is expected in the field of public procurement in Hungary next year: we will switch from paper-based public procurement to electronic procedures.

We would like to help the professionals in the transition with our lectures on the latest news of the public procurement practice. On our expert blog called “KÖZBESZ BLOG” (available in Hungarian), which was launched in November with the support of the Hungarian Official Public Procurement Advisors’ Association, you can periodically find articles about the changes in the legislation, practical information and other interesting stuff in the topic.

In Hungary, a single electronic public procurement system has been established, and its use will be compulsory for all contracting authorities and tenderers. The originally planned date for the launch in January 2018 has been postponed but preparation is inevitable for the transition beginning 15 April 2018 at the latest.

Our specialists in the field of public procurement, dr. Andrea Szabó and dr. Gabriella Nagy-Fribiczer gave lectures on the relevant practice at large conferences (diamondtopconsult.hu, vezinfo.hu, systemmedia.hu) in November and December, and we also presented the amendment of the schedule of transition on our public procurement blog.

In addition, as trending topics we present the most up-to-date guidelines in respect of public procurement, major decisions of the Arbitration Board and the current audit experience.

From January 2018 lectures will continue and we will keep our readers updated on our KÖZBESZ BLOG too.

We are happy to assist you personally in English too if you need legal advisory in the above topics.
