We'll keep working in emergency - information notice

Information notice and emergency measures

With the health emergency all over the world, an unknown period has begun in our life where we all have great responsibility and in respect of which our law firm has got no tried-and-tested scenario either. As lawyers, for safety reasons, we can work remotely, while, adjusting to our clients’ need, we strive to operate our infrastructure flexibly and to perform our tasks in necessary external locations as long as it is possible.

Important news in this regard is that from March 15, an extraordinary judicial break was announced by the government.
On 17 March, the President of the National Office for the Judiciary issued a presidential order on the tasks in litigation and out-of-court matters during the extraordinary judicial break but this, just as the situation, is changing unfortunately day by day.
Naturally, as soon as we have more information on the details that are still in question, we will inform you through the available channels to the extent necessary to deal with ongoing matters.

At our website, under Documents, you can find an Information Notice concerning Employment regulations ordered on the 18th of March, 2020 in regard to the emergency situation – where we briefly discuss the new regulations.

We have prepared for you a labor law summary; summarizing facts and misconceptions in a pandemic emergency.

We also reviewed the impact of the situation on the operations of companies from a legal point of view that every management is advised to take into consideration.

Please do not hesitate to contact our experts with any questions regarding corporate law or labor law. Our respective documents are available in Hungarian language, but if you are interested in these topics please, contact us for more information in English.

Our general measures as of March 19:
Until further governmental actions, Ecovis Hungary Legal does not close its office and will remain at the service of its clients as business as usual.

Unless circumstances responding the Coronavirus pandemic force us to make a different decision, our work will be conducted primarily at the office under the professional guidance of the managing and equity partner of the law firm. Then, as far as possible, we generally switch to home office mode. The office management gives employees the opportunity to work remotely and also introduces a duty-on-call system to ensure clients are served at all times.

In these circumstances, we kindly ask you to avoid personal contacts as much as possible, except where this is inevitable. We use various communication channels that may suit you: phone, email, Skype, WhatsApp and similar interfaces.

Any visitor arriving to the office is required to wash his hands or to use the disinfectant placed out at the front office. Doors and meeting rooms are disinfected regularly as well as after each meeting.

We take great care to preserve the health of our colleagues; for this reason, we cannot welcome any sick clients. No colleague of ours having any symptoms or anyone ill may work at the office; they can only help us from home.

Even at this time of trying, we are prepared to serve our customers in all circumstances, and we strive to represent their interests in any and all matters.

In this situation taking care is utmost important, and this is what we recommend and ask for: Let’s take care of ourselves and each other, follow the rules, be patient, and use our personal responsibilities and opportunities wisely – in order to return to our daily life as soon as possible.
Thank you for your confidence!
